2 Year Anniversary!

I recently celebrated TWO YEARS since I started blogging on WordPress!

I must admit that I’m quite pleased with how far I’ve come and the posts I’ve got under my belt. I really do enjoy blogging and sharing whatever I can with people who care to read/listen.

My first WordPress blog was a Sims Legacy blog documenting the story of my Chartier family in the life simulation game. Corny right? But I liked doing it and people read it and people liked it too. Then my game crashed and I lost almost six generations of Sims that I came to love were just taken away from me. So I canceled that blog and started over with a personal blog documenting my life.

I come and I go quite often and you won’t believe just how many things cross my mind daily and I think to myself, “I should so write a post about that!” and then, well nothing really comes of it!

In my third year of blogging I hope to be a little more consistent with my posting. The few followers I have managed to entrap in my snare have been very patient and I feel like the least I can do is give them some content. Also, I’m trying to encourage more of my friends to create a blog and share their experiences!

Here’s a few of my favourite posts of the 97 (Yes, NINETY-SEVEN) posts I’ve done on my new blog:

Green Eyed Monster

Mira, Morenas!

Lurking in the Night

The Evils that Lurk in SAC

Stroke of Midnight

New Year’s celebrations has to be my second favourite time of the year (after Carnival, of course!) and if anybody ever tells you that I don’t like celebrating Old Year’s into New Year’s, please know it is all a lie!

Since I’ve turned 18, I always imagined that at least once by now I would have gone on an Old Year’s night adventure but most on every year between then and now I’ve spent it with family and I’ve had no regrets.

It was a long night in the kitchen but it was all worth it and I wish there were more nights like this with close family and friends instead of just this once to welcome and start the new year. In any case, Here’s to 2014 being a year for building family relationships and traditions!

Yesterday I celebrated my 21st birthday and there’s nothing I love more than being born on the 12th of the 12th month!

I’m not one that goes all out for a birthday because it essentially means that I’m getting older and – inevitably closer to my death bed. Heck, being alive alone is representation of the latter.

I spent the day the only way I knew how, with friends.

All of my friends couldn’t make it because the UWI is so vile it has separated us by sending some to study at another campus in another country, or worse, given others exams to do on such a blessed day. Hopefully, my day was beautifully blessed enough that they all would have been successful in their endeavours to not just pass their exam but ace it.

This year was supposed to be spent making artsy stuff and what have I to show for it?

So, yesterday Rebeca and Sara and myself made dreamcatchers! It was so exciting and I am 1000% in love with mine.

So for this, my 22nd  year on this planet called Earth, I am aiming for more artsy stuff like this. I don’t have a knack for it but it sure is fun!
