This blog space has undergone so many thematic changes in the past, and only because I really like the wordpress layout I’ve managed to keep it going for so long. No, I’m not abandoning you. This is not what this is. I’m just reflecting a bit and letting you know where my head has been/is.
Last week, Arpita over at Scribbles@Arpita for the Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award. I quite like the title of the award as it speaks volumes when I think about my blogging relationship with Arpita. Since she’s started following my work she’s been very vocal, leaving wonderful compliments on my work and for that I could only be so grateful.

I have been keeping a lot of things. Ticket stubs, receipts, pictures – all of it for the sake of the memories. I remember before leaving for Colombia I felt so stressed out with the mess of things I had collected and dumped into the small drawers of my armoire. My rubble isn’t worthy of an episode of hoarders but still it’s almost suffocating.
Now that I’m back home, I felt that stress again when I opened the drawer and the things that I had forgotten about were there staring back at me and I had no place to store my clothing. So I made up my mind to finally make that memory board I had always dreamt of. Continue reading

I’d always been pining to ring in the New Year away from home in a fancy party with lots of booze and fun people. Last night I did just that … which left me feeling a whole heap of nostalgia. I am ‘turn-up queen’ but sometimes you just need to be surrounded by people that mean more to you than just a good night out. It was a great night out but I cannot wait to ring in 2016 at home with my family.
