Finding Your Passion

It’s 2013! I’m 20. And I have finally come to terms with what I’m good at and what I love doing in this life.

Ever since I can remember, languages have been something that I thoroughly enjoy learning. Honestly, I love learning on the whole but nothing is more thrilling than learning to speak a new language. It sort of empowers me.

I’ve wasted a lot of time in my life pretending that it wasn’t anything special though. Always putting it on the back burner because well, what am I going to do with all this infinite knowledge of languages? Be a translator? Fun! -__-

But who cares what you’re going to do with it? Besides, the possibilities for this kind of thing is endless. Finding what you’re passionate about isn’t as hard as many make it out to be. It’s not about what your parents want to do, what all of your friends are doing etc. etc. It’s all about what makes you happy? What are you enthusiastic about? What do you want to do with your life?

Life’s too short to waste time not doing what you want to do. Before you know it, the door’s closed. Grasp opportunities, you never know where they’ll take you.

I have been a strong believer in the power of the mind and the tongue for a while and a half and I honestly think that too many people often underestimate it. There’s absolutely  nothing that can deter you from achieving what you believe you can achieve once you open your heart and mind up to that simple fact. Regardless of what others do and say to try to hold you back, you’re the only one that can make your dreams come true.

I’m not a religious person, per se, but there’s one Bible verse that rings out true in my heart each and every day:

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

– Matthew 21:22

I have always wanted to do a vision board but I never get around to it, yesterday after a kick ass session with Anya Ayoung-Chee I was able to do just that.

Me, my vision board & Ms. Ayoung-Chee.

Visualization helps but actually doing things that’ll put you in such positions is way better! So let’s think about as an Action Board instead!

Find your passion and live it.
